After four decades of a career marked by passion, rigor, and inspiring vision, our president Mario Melançon is taking a well-deserved retirement.
His contribution to the world of culture, construction, and entrepreneurship, specifically in the preservation and enhancement of built heritage throughout Quebec, remains exceptional and invaluable.

Since the 1980s, Mario has devoted himself to restoring some of the most iconic buildings and monuments that today represent the richness and pride of our national heritage, whether religious, institutional, or residential.
Surrounded by a team of approximately 50 professionals, workers, and skilled craftsmen, he has participated in the restoration of more than 300 churches, historic monuments, and other buildings of high architectural and heritage value, both public and private, throughout Quebec.

During his career, he also carried out major projects elsewhere in Canada, particularly in Ontario, proudly showcasing Quebec’s heritage expertise to the rest of the country.
Through his role, he also helped preserve specialized trades and pass on traditional techniques and know-how to a new generation of heritage professionals. Without the vision of leaders like him at a time when heritage conservation was less popular, these skills would have been lost forever.

His contribution to the development and solid reputation of Entreprises Melançon over the years will always remain an important pillar of our history, laying the foundation for our success in the decades to come as we embark on a new chapter.

The succession is already well assured: Kevin Beaupré, who has been involved in our operations for several years, is officially taking over the management of the company. This transition, which has been in the works for nearly a decade, will allow us to continue writing our story with the same passion and values of excellence and professionalism that have guided us since the company was founded by Jean-Guy Melançon in 1964.
We warmly congratulate and thank Mario for his impressive career and wish Kevin every success in his new role!
